Overview
Version 1.8.1 of the V6M6 software and FPGA configurations includes the following changes:
Hardware and Software Changes for DM12C549 DSP Modules
The boot.asm source file (found in $CAC/pci/modsupport/dm12c549)
is modified to clear the scan word to avoid spurious DMA transfers
when a DSP is restarted after being halted during DMA activity.
This change is reflected in new versions of the C549 diagnostic program
code and the c549aldr code found in $CAC/lib.
Testing of the DM12C549 DMA operation is now included in the
pcichip, pcimemory and pcimemslice diagnostic programs.
Hardware Changes for PM4700A MIPS Modules
Hardware Changes for PCI Global Interrupts
The FPGA configuration for DM12C549 modules (dm12c54913.mcs)
includes fixes for HPI register access conflicts with DMA transfers,
DSP reset change just prior to HPI access and TDM transfers switching
from BSP1 to BSP0.
In addition, the capability to perform DMA transfers between DSPs
on the same module is included.
The PM4700A FPGA configuration (pm4700a14.mcs) is modified to fix a problem
performing burst reads from the TDM FPGA registers.
The VME / PCI interface FPGA configurations (vmepcib115.mcs and vmepcic115.mcs)
are modified to avoid the possibility of parity errors caused by
interrupt signals from PCI modules changing during a read of the global
interrupt status register.
